  • Distribution: ​​Breeds in the Himalayas from northwestern Pakistan east to southwestern China; primarily resident (although moving to lower elevations in winter), some migrating to northeastern India (Assam) and northern Myanmar [1] [3]
  • IUCN Red List: Least Concern. Population stable. ​[2]
