More than 10,000 plant species have been recorded and published in the Flora of Thailand since 1970. Thailand has relatively few endemic plant species as it shares it's flora with it's neighboring countries, Myanmar, Loas, Cambodia, and Malaysia. As such it is considered a collective centre of botanic diversity. [1]
According to Threatened Plants in Thailand (first published in March 2015) 18 species are Critically Endangered, 207 species are Endangered, and 715 species are Vulnerable. [2]
