The Common Tawny Rajah, Charaxes bernardus hierax was first described by Felder & Felder in 1867. This one stopped for a quick drink in the garden this morning.
9/2/2015 Stink Bug on a straw9/2/2015 Red Imperial from ThailandOne of Farangs Gone Wild partners, Viv Braznell, recently made a rare spotting of a male Red Imperial butterfly (Suasa lisides) in southern Thailand. This butterfly can also be found in India, Assam and Myanmar.
